RAISE THE BASELINE
Performance is often thought about as a specific moment in time. The ability to meet the demands of a given task and rise to the occasion. To perform at your best, you need to not only meet the demands but execute with mastery. The tools that unlock our ability to meet the demands is achieved by a sustained commitment over time; weeks, months and years of consistency. Consistency is the cardinal rule of training and therefore the foundation of any endeavour.
In reality performance isn't about a singular defined moment in time. It isn't about the uninhabitable momentary peaks in which elite performance is displayed; it’s about what we do at the baseline. It is about enhancing what is possible in your 'every day', to create a state of PERMAnent change in capability.
The ability to raise the bar and perform well on any given day.
